E72 was founded by Evan Pondel, who has spent more than 25 years advising Fortune 500 organizations, leading institutions and high-profile individuals on the moments that shape reputation and, ultimately, long-term valuation.
Evan began his career as a business journalist at The Wall Street Journal, Reuters and the Los Angeles Daily News. He then moved to the other side of the story, advising NYSE- and Nasdaq-listed companies on investor relations and communications strategy, through earnings, transactions, leadership changes and crises.
Today he advises leaders globally on communications strategy, reputation and crisis, and teaches Corporate PR and Reputation at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. He holds the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) from the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), has served as chair of the editorial advisory board for NIRI’s IR Update magazine, and co-authored NIRI’s AI policy statement for investor relations and communications professionals. He speaks regularly at NIRI’s annual conference, and his perspective on AI, disclosure and executive communications has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal and Reuters.
